I recently removed the top from my H30/31 Solex Carburetor and took it to R & D. Doug removed the brass inlet tube and installed a threaded fitting to replace it. He used a special sealant on the threads to prevent both leakage and loosening. This gives me peace-of-mind that the inlet tube now will not loosen and fall out--causing a fire in the engine compartment of my 1968 Karmann Ghia. I plan to take the top from my Solex 30 Pict-1 to Doug's shop in the near future--for the same application. Thank you R & D! jayson salser
